Connecting a Facebook Page
This quick start guide shows you how to connect Candor to a Facebook Page
Connect through Candor
You can setup your connection to a Facebook Page directly though Candor
On the Add source page of your Candor dashboard, find the Facebook card and press the Connect source button
That will take you to a Facebook login page - you should login with a Facebook account that is the owner or admin of the Facebook page you want to connect
Login to a Facebook profile to connect the Facebook Page
You can follow the steps on the Facebook page to login and connect to Candor
Login to the Facebook account of a Page owner or admin on the Facebook page
Due to limitations from Instagram, only a Facebook Pages can connect to Candor - Candor won't work with your personal Facebook profile.
To connect Candor to a Facebook Page, you must be logged into a Facebook account that is the owner or admin of that Facebook Page
Any profile can be invited to be an admin for a Facebook Page easily - you can follow the official Facebook documentation here: Grant Facebook Page access
Approve the permissions for Candor to access Facebook
If you are the owner or admin of one or multiple Facebook Pages, you will see the list of Facebook Pages here that you can grant access to.
Candor is only able to read comments on your posts. Candor cannot and will not post on your Facebook or manage any other settings.
You will be pointed back to Candor's website, where you will see a list of Pages that are available to connect through Candor
If you don't see any Pages available to connect, make sure you logged in using a Facebook account that is the owner or admin of a Facebook Page and that you granted Candor permission to access that page when you granted Facebook permissions in step #2 above
Select the Facebook Page that you would like to connect to Candor by pressing the 'Connect this page' button
Candor separates Facebook pages to give you more control over the feedback you include in your summaries. At this time time you can only connect one Facebook Page at a time.
We'll connect your Facebook Page to Candor - you're all set!
You'll see a loading screen as we analyze some of the recent Page posts and feedback - this only happens the first time you connect a source. Once connected, Candor will stay up to date automatically in the background!
